Wayne Webley
Director
BSc(hons), PhD, Graduate Diploma in Applied Statistics.
Wayne has been involved in testing and monitoring work for over 30 years. He has a background in chemistry, chemical engineering and chemical analysis. A keen karate student, he also finds time to explore some of Nelson’s back country from time to time.
George Looman
Solar Hot Water and Solid Fuel Heater Testing

George is our solar and solid fuel heating specialist. He has worked as a secondary school teacher teaching mathematics at all levels. He owned and operated a cycle shop for eight years and has worked in diverse engineering roles and in 3D CAD design. His interests include kayaking and cycling and he has raced mountain, road and tandem cycles at various times.
Steve Molnar
Science Technician
NZCS(chem)
Steve established our wood products laboratory. He has more than 30 years’ experience in physical and chemical testing, particularly in the testing of timber products and byproducts. In his spare time he enjoys competitive tennis and relaxes by riding older British mortorcycles.
Gileen Caughey
Administrative and Technical Support
BSc, NZCS(chem)
With a science background and the experience gained from running her own IT business Gileen is well placed to provide administrative support and assist with test work. When she’s not in the admin office you might find her in the wet lab running extractions or carrying out environmental tests at a client’s site. Her passions are nutrition, gardening and walking up hills.
Peter Watts
Engineering Technician
Registered Electrician
Pete trained as an industrial electrician and assists in all areas of our work. A keen mountain biker, hunter and outdoorsman you’ll generally find him in the hills after work.
