Climate Controlled Laboratories

We have two climate-controlled laboratories that allow us to investigate the performance of appliances under a range of environmental conditions. We can control temperature, humidity and air currents to simulate everything from a humid summer’s day to a 26 degrees below zero winters night.

• Room temperature distribution for heating appliances
• Resistance of solar hot water heaters to freezing
• Performance of air conditioners
• Performance of de-humidifiers and humidifiers
• Performance of heat pump hot water heaters
• Cold start performance of gas heaters
