Applied Research Services use a calibrated gas analyser to check for the presence of an explosive atmosphere in confined spaces such as tanks in ships. This is used to check safety before personnel enter to perform maintenance.

We can measure the presence of many specific gaseous compounds, for example volatile organic compounds, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, on site.

If necessary, we can collect a gas sample and send it to a specialist laboratory to check for a wide range of compounds.
